How to Button Pants

To fasten pants with one hand, grip the fabric around the buttonhole with your dominant hand to keep it taut, then use your thumb to gently stretch the buttonhole open and carefully slide the button through the opening, pushing it through completely until it is secured by the fabric; for additional help, you may use a button hook to assist in guiding the button into the hole.
